Despite the Tigers inserting themselves right back into this game with a big seventh inning, Brad Ausmus decided to bring little-used Warwick Saupold back out for another inning of work. Well, the youngster made his manager look smart, setting the Rangers down in order.
Jonathan Lucroy flew out to left field, Mitch Moreland struck out looking and Nomar Mazara flew out to left field to end the frame.
Saupold has twice gotten out of sticky situations tonight, and now he's put together a solid seventh to give the Tigers a real chance.
