FINAL: RANGERS 8, TIGERS 5
Perhaps letting Anibal Sanchez pitch in a hitters ballpark wasn't the best idea, but at this point, the Tigers were out of options as they lost their fifth straight game and fell to the Rangers, 8-5.
Sanchez, coming off a string of solid starts, was roughed up for eight runs in less than five innings of work after a two hour, 40 minutes rain delay in Texas.
Jonathan Lucroy tagged Sanchez for two home runs and five RBI.
While the Tigers put together a four-run seventh inning on a pair of two-run home runs from James McCann and Tyler Collins, they weren't able to get to the backend of the Texas bullpen in the eighth and ninth innings.
