Live Tigers blog: Grossman puts Twins on board in 7th

The Twins got on the board against Matt Boyd in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Jorge Polanco flew out to shortstop Jose Iglesias in shallow left field to lead off the half inning. Robbie Grossman then hit a solo home run to left field, snapping a streak of 14 straight batters retired by Boyd. Kennys Vargas then flew out to left field, before Kurt Suzuki grounded out to shortstop to end the inning. After seven, the Tigers are up 8-1.

Boyd has thrown 84 pitches through seven innings, allowing a run on two hits while walking striking out seven and walking one.
