Just like that, and Tigers right-hander Michael Fulmer has yielded a season-high for earned runs.
Fulmer gave up three runs in the top of the fifth inning and the Tigers lead has been trimmed to 10-4. The four earned runs are the most Fulmer has given up in any of his 11 starts this year.
In the top of the fifth, White Sox third basemen Matt Davidson led off with a double and shortstop Tim Anderson followed with an RBI single.
Anderson advanced to third on a fly out and left-handed hitting Leury Garcia (2-for-3) solved Fulmer yet again, this time with an RBI single.
