Live Tigers blog: Blue Jays shut out Tigers in Toronto

FINAL: BLUE JAYS 6, TIGERS 0

The Tigers were able to tag Blue Jays pitching for seven hits, but what they were unable to do is string enough together to bring any runs around as they lost for the second consecutive night north of the border, 7-0.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Tigers can't blame this loss on tonight's starting pitcher, Mike Pelfrey. Sure, Pelfrey gave up six hits and walked three, but he also got three double play balls in giving up just one run in six innings of work.

Though the offense, or lack thereof, will take the brunt of the criticism for tonight's loss, the bullpen and management will take a little heat as well.
