Shane Greene replaced Anibal Sanchez -- whose forgettable relief outing put the game out of reach -- to start the top of the seventh inning.
Greene threw a 1-2-3 frame, inducing ground ball outs to all three batters. He got Byron Buxton and Brian Dozier to ground out to third, while Robbie Grossman grounded out softly to Greene to end the inning.
At the seventh inning stretch, the Tigers trail 11-4.
