Live blog: Tigers threaten again in 4th, can't score

Top 4th: Tigers 4, Yankees 0

The Tigers aimed to extend their lead in the fourth against C.C. Sabathia.

Nick Castellanos grounded to short for out No. 1. James McCann, however, remained hot, singling to left on a line drive. It seemed as if Sabathia pitched around John Hicks after his homer in the second, walking him on a 3-2 pitch. Dixon Machado then ended the top half of the fourth by grounding into a double play.

Bottom 3rd: Tigers 4, Yankees 0

To kick off the inning, Tyler Wade smacked a grounder up the middle and hustled out a double.
