Alen Hanson swung on the first pitch he saw from Alcantara, singling into right. Adam Engel then singled to center. Tim Anderson struck out swinging. Yoan Moncada reached base for the sixth time on the day with another walk. Jose Abreu singled to left, playing Hanson. He was then pinch-run for at first by Nicky Delmonico. Avisail Garcia improved to 5-for-5 with an infield single, scoring another run.
