Luis Valbuena notched his third hit of the night, a single to center field, to leadoff the seventh against Tigers reliever Chad Bell. Bell was able to settle into the inning, though, getting Kole Calhoun to fly out to right field and striking out Cameron Maybin. Andrelton Simmons grounded out to third to end the frame.
