After a marathon on Tuesday night, the Tigers narrowly avoided another, beating the Orioles 5-4 on Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
The bats were, in fact, hot for both teams for the second straight night. The Orioles finished with 11 hits and the Tigers had nine.
And, for the second consecutive evening, a Tiger finished with a two-homer game. This time, it was Tyler Collins who knocked two out of the park for the first time in his career, emphatically snapping an 0-for-30 stretch. He finished 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and four RBIs.
Ian Kinsler had a nice bounce-back game as well, finishing 2-for-5 with an RBI.
