Khris Davis drilled a ball over the head of Jim Aducci is right field, but the Tigers right fielder fired the ball back to Jose Iglesias at second base, where Davis was called out in a bang-bang play. Though replays appeared to show Davis was safe, the ruling on the field was upheld. Yonder Alonso fouled out, and Stephen Vogt grounded out to shortstop to end the inning.
