MINNEAPOLIS -- In his final start of 2018, Francisco Liriano's night was cut short Thursday when he exited Detroit's game vs. the Twins at Target Field with lower back tightness.
Liriano cruised through his first two innings, striking out four of the seven batters he faced, but gave up back-to-back doubles in the third, and later walked a pair of batters to load the bases.
Tigers trainers came out to check on Liriano after he walked Robbie Grossman, and he was ultimately removed from the game and replaced by Louis Coleman.
