The Mud Hens ran their International League leading record to 37-20 behind a solid rehab outing from Jordan Zimmermann. The Tigers’ veteran got his pitch count to 72, giving the Hens 4 1⁄3 innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts. A solo shot in the fifth ended his outing, but the Hens had already built a four-run lead in the fourth. Mikie Mahtook launched a two-run shot in the inning, while Grayson Greiner singled with two on later in the frame to account for the Hens’ scoring. Caleb Thielbar, Victor Alcantara and Johnny Barbato closed this one out with 4 2⁄3 innings of scoreless relief.
