Their friendships — borne through competition and winning, on-field success and off-field debauchery — have grown as the years have passed. With Trammell and Morris set to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend in Cooperstown, N.Y., Gibson shared the stories of their friendships, in his own words.
In the beginning
Gibson and Trammell became best friends in the minor leagues, forging their bond with a common goal: Winning.
