Derek Jeter is headed to Cooperstown.
Jeter, the Kalamazoo Central product who spent 20 seasons as the shortstop for the New York Yankees, was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the 2020 class, it was announced Tuesday.
Outfielder Larry Walker was the only other player voted in.
Curt Schilling, Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds were among those that didn't receive 75 percent of the required vote needed for induction.
