The Mud Hens got a solid short outing from lefty Dietrich Enns, and the heart of their lineup did the job. They salvaged one game of this opening three-game set with a 6-5 victory on Saturday afternoon.
They jumped on them early. After a quick top of the first for Enns, Jahmai Jones doubled to center to lead things off for the Hens. Hao-Yu Lee reached on a fielder’s choice, but they didn’t get Jones at third. A wild pitch got Lee to second, and Jace Jung walked to load the bases. A two-run double from Justyn-Henry Malloy followed, and then a Bligh Madris fly ball was enough for Jung to tag and score from third.
