LAKELAND, Fla. — This is what the Detroit Tigers dreamed of when they traded Justin Verlander to the Houston Astros.

Franklin Perez was on the mound, looking absolutely dominant, tossing strikes.

Daz Cameron was out in center field, and Jake Rogers was at catcher, throwing out runners.

And for one afternoon, it came to be. All three players the Tigers received in the blockbuster Verlander deal played together on the same team in an intrasquad scrimmage on a back field at Tiger Town.
