CHICAGO -- Justin Verlander will make his first start against his former team on July 15.
The Houston Astros shuffled their rotation so Verlander could start against the Detroit Tigers when they visit Minute Maid Park later this month.
The change means that Verlander won't be able to pitch in the All-Star Game on July 17 in Washington, D.C, although he can still be selected for the team and honored before the game.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch has already informed the league that Verlander won't be able to pitch, according to the Houston Chronicle.
