The Detroit Tigers 2018 season isn't even a day old, but fans have already had to deal with a shot to the gut thanks to former ace Justin Verlander.
No more than eight hours after pitchers and catchers arrived in Lakeland, Verlander was reminding fans that he won't be there for the first time in his 14-year career.
The exchange came after Detroit Free Press Tigers reporter Anthony Fenech jokingly noted that he hadn't seen Verlander in camp.
Tigers pitchers and catchers have reported to spring training but I still haven't seen Justin Verlander.
