PITTSBURGH -- One hit.
James McCann led off the third inning with a single to left against Pirates right-handed pitcher Trevor Williams and it was the only hit of the game for the Detroit Tigers.
They went on to lose, 3-0, to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night at PNC Park. The Tigers were shut out for the eighth time this season and the loss extended their skid to three games.
“Not a lot to take away,” said Tigers manager Brad Ausmus. “Can’t win if you don’t score."
Williams allowed one hit over seven innings.
