Jordan Zimmermann's failing curve leaves Indians with 50-50 odds of hits

Detroit Tigers right-handed pitcher Jordan Zimmermann didn't have a good curveball on Sunday, then had no explanation for the rest of his poor outing. Everyone else did.

It wasn't much of a guessing game for the Cleveland Indians, who had a 50-50 shot on what to look for after Zimmermann went away from the curve early.

Zimmermann (4-3) allowed five runs on six hits in three innings. He walked one and struck out two. The Tigers went on to lose, 8-1, to the Indians on Sunday at Comerica Park.

"To be honest, I thought I had pretty good stuff," Zimmermann said with a straight face.
