Jordan Zimmermann discusses rehab start with West Michigan Whitecaps
COMSTOCK PARK - The Detroit Tigers hope they are getting back the Jordan Zimmermann who settled in after the second inning of his rehab start with the West Michigan Whitecaps and not the struggling version at the outstart Monday
In his third rehab start (after two with Toledo) following a shoulder injury in early May, the veteran starter shook off a rocky first two innings against South Bend to retire nine in a row into the sixth. He was removed after a one-out double to a nice applause from 6,840 at Fifth Third Ballpark and the Whitecaps trailing 1-0.
