CHICAGO – Jordan Zimmermann is healthy.
The Detroit Tigers’ veteran right-hander has reported no soreness in his neck this season, which prevented him from pitching like the pitcher the team thought they signed last season.
But his neck might be a little sore after this start.
Zimmermann kept turning around to watch baseballs fly over the fence at Guaranteed Rate Field this afternoon, allowing three more home runs as the White Sox beat the Tigers, 7-3.
It was the continuance of a terrible trend this season: Zimmermann victimized by hard contact and home runs.
