So far the 2025 season has been an odd one on the injury front for the Detroit Tigers. At least at the major league level, all the notable injuries have come to position players. That’s particularly unusual for this time of year, as pitcher attrition early in the season is pretty standard around the industry. The Tigers have certainly had their share of injuries overall, but the pitching staff hasn’t been much affected. That, combined with a very hot start from Spencer Torkelson and a few other surprise offensive contributors has helped them get out to a pretty fast start this season.
