The Detroit Tigers' historic run of home-field futility is over.
Not even the 2003 team was this bad.
The Tigers tied a MLB record with their 59th home loss of the season on Thursday, when they fell, 10-4, to the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park. The loss matched the futility of the 1939 St. Louis Browns, who finished 18-59 in four fewer home games, and it was one loss worse than the 2003 Tigers, the losingest team in American League history.
