The West Michigan Whitecaps, easily the most successful team in the Midwest League during the regular season, got a day off Tuesday to exhale before they begin the postseason Wednesday. That gives us a chance to look at the season, including the second half and the playoffs.
The Whitecaps are headed to Dayton today ahead of the first-round playoff opener Wednesday against the Dragons. The best-of-three playoff then heads to West Michigan for games Thursday and, if necessary, on Friday.
The Whitecaps have now made the playoffs four years in a row.
