LAKELAND, Fla. -- Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire has already warned media not to pay any attention to the lineups he posts early in spring training.
But the nine players typed onto the lineup card for Saturday's home opener are very likely to be the starting nine when the Tigers open the regular season on March 27 at Comerica Park.
The Tigers (0-1) play the Toronto Blue Jays (1-0) at 1:05 p.m. at Joker Marchant Stadium. The game will be available on radio (97.1 FM The Ticket in Detroit). There is no television.
The starting nine are the players that you might expect.
