Is the Jordan Zimmermann the Tigers paid $110 million for finally back?

DETROIT -- Three weeks ago, after giving up his 14th, 15th and 16th home runs of the season in another lackluster outing in Chicago, Jordan Zimmermann was as frustrated as he's ever been.

"They brought me over here to be a big-time pitcher, and I'm not doing that right now," he said after the game.

The trick was finding his slider again, a pitch that he had relied on for years in Washington but that he seemed to have lost amid struggles and injuries late last year.

"I have to go to the next bullpen (session) and just throw it and throw it and throw it until I figure it out," he said.
