The Detroit Tigers continued their struggles against the Cleveland Indians as their American League Central rival took game three of the series by a score of 5-1.
Things immediately went off of the rails for the Tigers as Jordan Zimmermann’s day ended in an early, terrifying fashion as he took a 106.5 mph line drive off of the bat of Jason Kipnis to his right jaw in the first inning, causing the crowd at Progressive Field to fall silent. He exited the game under his own power and was later diagnosed with a right jaw contusion.
