A soggy start and some lousy pitching on the Tigers’ part spelled doom as Cleveland spiked Detroit 10-0 in the first of a three-game weekend set.
Shane Bieber’s stuff looked great. He didn’t even say “Sorry” when he struck out five of the first six Tigers he faced. Jose Iglesias finally got the first hit of the game in the third, continuing his hot hitting from the Cincinnati mini-series where he went 5-for-8.
Mike Fiers has had some recent success against Cleveland, and was looking to continue that. He must have asked, “What Do You Mean?
