DETROIT -- By one count, there were three dozen trades in the week leading up to this year's trade deadline.
The Tigers were involved in only one of them.
For a team with no chance to make the playoffs this summer and plenty of players to sell, that might sound like a disappointment.
But Tigers general manager Al Avila said he was satisfied with what the Tigers received in return for outfielder Leonys Martin. There simply wasn't much interest in other Tigers players.
"At the end of the day, the market was really flooded with a lot of good players," Avila said.
