ERIE, Pa. -- Steven Moya was playing for the Detroit Tigers last summer. He was on the brink of a roster spot this spring.
Today he's back in Class AA ball in Erie, where he smashed records in 2014 but never expected to return again.
"It's been a really tough season for me," he said during an interview before a Seawolves game this week. "Things haven't been working out for me like I thought. Sometimes it's like that in life."
The good news for Moya, 26, is that he's finally starting to hit after a dismal start to the season in Triple-A Toledo that was followed by a demotion to Erie in June.
