LAKELAND, Fla. -- Hustle rewarded Jose Iglesias twice Tuesday in the bottom of the first inning: The Tigers' shortstop slid into second for a double and then dived into home to score the first run of the game on Nicholas Castellanos' single.
But on that dive, Iglesias also landed headfirst on Phillies catcher Ryan Hanigan's leg. Iglesias spent a moment holding his face while in the batter's box dirt, ultimately walking off under his own power.
