St. Petersburg, Fla. — There was no swing adjustment, no magical video session or “Aha!” moment with hitting coach Wally Joyner.
Jose Iglesias just started hitting.
“I feel the same in May,” he said. “I feel the same in April. I feel the same last year. It’s just baseball. Sometimes you aren’t going to get the results you want. But you have your plan and you stay with it.”
The plan is working. Iglesias was hitting .211 on May 31. He’s now hitting .257 and climbing. In the month of June he hit .
