Joe Morgan wasn't known as a power hitter, but he's certainly swinging for the fences with this request of baseball's Hall of Fame voters.
Simply put, Morgan doesn't want steroid users in the Hall of Fame.
So he wrote a lengthy letter, seemingly speaking on behalf of the HOF, and it was distributed to BWAA voters. This year's official ballot went out Monday, and names players such as Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens are eligible for election.
"We hope the day never comes when known steroid users are voted into the Hall of Fame," Morgan wrote.
