KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler was named the team's 2017 recipient of the Heart and Hustle Award of the second year in a row.

Players from all 30 teams are selected by MLBPAA committees comprised of alumni with established relationships to each team. Fans, alumni and active players will vote to select the league-wide winner later this year.
