How Wilson Ramos plans to connect with Detroit Tigers' young arms — and young catchers

For Detroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize, it takes a couple of bullpen sessions and a few innings on the mound to get comfortable with a new catcher. Lefty Tarik Skubal — another young arm the organization is banking on for long-term success — only needs an inning.

That's a good thing, considering the Tigers signed a new catcher last week.

It's also beneficial that this new catcher, Wilson Ramos, is up for the challenge. The 33-year-old has already spoken to veteran starter Matthew Boyd, and he's stoked to meet up with Mize, Skubal and Matt Manning when pitchers and catchers report to spring training Feb.
