The Detroit Tigers' player pool for the 2020 season, submitted Sunday afternoon, featured most of the names expected earlier in the week. But there were a couple questions: Where was No. 1 overall pick Spencer Torkelson? And why didn’t outfielder Troy Stokes Jr. make the team?
Fear not, Tigers fans, Torkelson will be added before the team’s second wave of spring training — dubbed "Summer Camp" — scheduled to begin July 3 with pitcher and catcher workouts at Comerica Park.
On Sunday, the Tigers added most of their top prospects not on the 40-man roster, including right-handers Alex Faedo, Matt Manning, Casey Mize, left-hander Tarik Skubal and outfielder Riley Greene.
