A quiet winter has meant no deal so far for right-handed starter Anibal Sanchez, the only Major League free agent who ended the 2017 season on the Detroit Tigers' roster.
Right-handed reliever Bruce Rondon, who was non-tendered last month, is also on the market. Unlike Sanchez, who is probably hoping to land a big-league deal, it's more likely that Rondon will get a minor-league offer with a spring training invitation.
Two minor-league free agents signed deals over the holidays.
Outfielder Jason Krizan, 28, will be back with the Tigers. A 2011 draft pick, Krizan has spent parts of seven seasons in the Detroit system.
