Detroit — Hopefully, Mike Fiers didn’t get on the plane Sunday night after the Tigers were swept in Oakland.
Because on Monday, he was traded to the Athletics for two players to be named later, or cash.
"It's good for Fiers," general manager Al Avila said. "And we’re going to end up with a couple of guys who could help us down the road.
