The summer season has ended for the Detroit Tigers, but the winter season is just beginning for some of their players and prospects.
Those players include right-handed reliever Bruce Rondon, who, after getting sent home late in the season for his "effort level," will return to the mound in the Venezuelan Winter League.
Rondon's first season back from elbow ligament reconstruction surgery was a disappointment and ended on the wrong note when he was dismissed from the team Sept. 22.
