DETROIT -- Jose Iglesias is the Tiger better known for highlight-reel catches running out into short left field, but Niko Goodrum took the spotlight Tuesday night against the White Sox with a mad dash from second base and a diving grab behind him on Avisail Garcia's seventh-inning blooper.
On a night when defensive struggles hurt the Tigers early, Goodrum provided the play of the night in the field. Garcia's softly-hit ball off Buck Farmer traveled a projected 204 feet, according to Statcast™, with a 69 percent hit probability.
