Game 8 Preview: Tigers tangle with Royals on the first night of Passover

The Detroit Tigers opened up their three-game road series against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday night with a 4-2 win. Casey Mize showed improvement over his first performance of the season last weekend against the Chicago White Sox, ultimately winning the war against future Hall of Famer Zach Greinke, while Miguel Cabrera drew closer to the historic 3,000 hit mark with a trio of singles along with a run scored for the good guys.

The two teams will do it again on Friday night in game two of the Passover-Easter weekend series.
