Fulmer roughed up as Tigers fall to Astros

Kissimmee, Fla. – Bad games are as much a part of Grapefruit League games as sunshine.

The Tigers experienced something akin to a solar eclipse Friday at Kissimmee as too many of their pitchers melted down in a 10-4 loss to the Astros at Osceola County Stadium.

Michael Fulmer, a pitcher with as much promise as any starter the Tigers have groomed in recent years, made his first start in a professional game since last August and, well, looked like it as he had issues with the strike zone en route to a lone inning of work that helped the Astros to a 3-0 lead.
