CHICAGO -- Michael Fulmer departed in the sixth inning of Monday's contest with the White Sox after taking a comebacker off his right leg.
Fulmer delivered a 3-1 fastball to Daniel Palka, who lined the pitch 115.6 mph per Statcast™ off the pitcher's leg. The ball ricocheted right to first baseman Niko Goodrum for the second out of the inning.
The trainer met with Fulmer on the mound before the right-hander walked off under his own power. Drew VerHagen came on in relief.
