Former Tigers Jack Morris and Alan Trammell eligible for the Hall of Fame, Lou Whitaker not nominated

Update November 6: Both Jack Morris and Alan Trammell are officially on the Modern Era ballot, but Lou Whitaker did not make the cut. He will be eligible again in 2019.

After spending a lifetime in baseball, the final feather in the cap for a player is being awarded entry into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. It’s an achievement most will not manage, but that doesn’t stop writers from throwing the phrase “future Hall of Famer” around quite liberally.

That said, for Tigers fans there is a trio of names that come across as glaring snubs due to their lack of Hall of Fame inclusion: Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, and Jack Morris.
