Anthony Gose didn't say much to reporters during his final months in the Detroit Tigers organization, even after he made the eye-opening transition from outfielder to left-handed relief specialist.
But the 27-year-old former prospect did talk briefly with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram shortly after signing a minor-league deal with the Texas Rangers. Gose confirmed that the plan, for now, is that he will work as both a center fielder and a pitcher.
"I'm just going to let things play out," Gose told the newspaper. "These are my first two days swinging a bat, and I've been playing catch for two months.
