Former Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter will be in the television booth at Target Field during the Tigers and Minnesota Twins three-game series Friday-Sunday, part of his duties as a special assistant for baseball operations for the Twins. The Twins brought a trio of former players to serve as special assistants – Hunter, LaTroy Hawkins and Michael Cuddyer – in November. Hunter has a role similar to that of Alan Trammell and Jim Leyland with the Tigers – making trips to the various minor league teams to assess and help with player development.
