DETROIT -- Players aren't the only ones who can get called up to the big leagues.
Greg Gania, the longtime radio announcer for the Double-A Erie Seawolves, will handle broadcast duties for the Detroit Tigers radio network on Saturday.
He's filling in for regular play-by-play man Dan Dickerson, who will shift to television duties on Saturday.
The series of moves was triggered by FOX Sports Detroit's decision not to use regular TV broadcasters Mario Impemba and Rod Allen for the remainder of the 2018 season. The two longtime Tigers announcers had a physical altercation on Tuesday night in Chicago and have not appeared on air since.
