While Detroit Tigers starter Tarik Skubal pitched aggressively through five innings, Eric Haase stole the spotlight, homering twice in a game for the third time this season and carrying the Tigers to a 4-3 victory Saturday against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Entering Saturday, Detroit had lost 13 of its past 14 games to the White Sox.
"We know the White Sox are always going to be a thorn in our side," Haase said after Friday's 9-8 loss on a walk-off single. "They're going to be that team that doesn't go away, that continues to put on pressure.
